 Jones County - A Southern Tale of Seduction, Murder, Betrayal and Redemption

This 46-page book proposal sent to seven literary agents in May of 2024 ignited strong interest from two, with one expressing a desire to move forward in representing the book.

My role involved:

1. Taking research materials and a group of rough vignettes (assembled by a broadcast journalist) related to a True Crime and organizing the material into a book with chapters, and a beginning, end and story arc with resolution.
2. Sifting through all written and research materials to develop a list of scenes for each chapter and a comprehensive list of characters, to be used in negotiations with streamer production companies.
3. Extensive writing, editing and revisions.
4. All work related to writing and compiling a 46-page book proposal that followed current guidelines spelled out by major New York Literary Agents and publishing firms.

Writing coach and content editor for children’s (picture) book (ages 4-8) with a STEM theme, specifically, the making of stars, black holes and galaxies. This book is in development.
